While the recent storm caused flooding and alot of damage, it also has allowed the steelhead to head up the rivers and into local creeks. Lake Metroparks offers access to several creeks that should now have fish. The picture below is from a very successful outing to Paine Creek in Indian Point Park on Sunday. Several fish were hooked by drifting a Woolly Bugger under a float.
Be aware that the Seeley Road entrance is still closed but Indian Point can be accessed via Paine Road. Other creek fishing opportunities can be found at Helen Hazen Wyman and Hogback Ridge. Watch for steelhead fishing to start to pick up in the Grand River and the Chagrin River as the waters start to recede.
