Warm-up and Rain won't help Steelheading

The current predicted warm-up sure feels nice but won't help the steelhead fishermen this weekend.  Open water on the Grand River is very limited.  The recent extreme cold also filled any moving water with ice chunks.  Anglers at Mason Landings reported hooking several large steelhead but were unable to land them over the shelf ice.  Shelf ice should never be considered safe to walk on!
