Wishing for Spring..

While all the waters throughout Lake Metroparks are still frozen, there is hope in the future of a Spring Thaw.  Since there is so much snow and ice, we can hope for a more gradual thaw instead of the crazy flooding and huge ice chunks of last season.  Some reports have come in of small sections of open water in the Grand River but so far they are not safely accessible.  With the predicted warmer temperatures, we'll watch for some more water to open up and will report it accordingly.  Meanwhile if you are out on the ice, be sure to check and double check for safety in the coming warmer days.
