Can this be December in Ohio? Anglers are out everywhere in shirtsleeves enjoying this incredible weather. While the steelhead are not as abundant or large as we would like, who cares when you don't have to freeze to get them?! Anglers are catching plenty of steelhead throughout much of the Grand River despite its fairly low flow. Most fish are still in the lower, deeper end of the Grand, (public access at
Grand River Landing) however good catches have been reported as far up as
Hidden Valley. The short pier in Fairport is still reporting plenty of fish, with the current Steelhead Contest leader having been caught there on Wednesday.
