Spring Steelhead run is on!

There has been plenty of excitement over the last several days in the local creeks!  Reports have come in of double digit days for many anglers throughout Lake Metroparks.  Currently the local creeks are getting low and are very clear so it's becoming more and more difficult to land a fish.  The Chagrin River is also running low and clear, but reports have come in of success.  The Grand River is now ready and has plenty of fish throughout the system.  Public access is offered at Grand River Landing, Helen Hazen Wyman, Beaty Landing, Mason's Landing, Hidden Valley and Riverview Park.

While the Grand River was running high over the last week, multiple steelhead ran up the local creeks looking for spawning ground.  Click here for a short clip of steelhead attempting to get above the falls at Hogback Ridge Park in Mill Creek.
