Trout stocked at Indian Point Park!

Early this morning Lake Metroparks stocked 800 lbs. of trout into Paine Creek at Indian Point Park.  These trout average 1-1.5lbs and were raised at the Little Pickerel Creek Farm in Castalia.  A large crowd gathered to watch the excitement as the Lake Metroparks crew carefully deposited the trout into their new home.  Trout were distributed throughout the creek, from Paine Falls down to the Grand River.  You must have a valid fishing license to fish this area.  Daily limit is two per angler.

The Chagrin River is ready to fish and reports of success have come in recently.  The Grand River is still fairly muddy but finally headed in the right direction due to recent sunny weather.  Local creeks are very clear and getting low but there are still some fish holding in them.  This could be the end of the Spring run so get out and fish while the sun shines!

Trout fishing at Veteran's Park is still going strong.  Reports of success with panfish and bass are coming in from Hidden Lake.  Happy Fishing!
