Another successful Kids Fishing Derby!

Lake Metroparks held it's annual Spring Fishing Derby at Hidden Lake this past rainy Saturday.  Thanks to the Ohio Central Basin Steelheaders for all of their assistance during the derby and for getting a grant from ODNR to stock additional Largemouth Bass in Hidden Lake.  Even though the weather wasn't the best there was plenty of excitement as the fishing was outstanding!

The creeks throughout Lake Metroparks are low and very clear.  It looks like the Grand River should be ideal for fishing this weekend baring any heavy rains.  Reports of Smallmouth Bass have been coming in, along with carp, catfish and a few stray steelhead.  Happy Fishing!
