Scattered steelhead reports

Several fishermen were spotted at Chagrin River Park recently.  One flyfisherman reported the most success with a copper john.  The Chagrin and Grand Rivers are still at low level with very little flow.  More rain is needed to get the rivers up so the bulk of the fish can come in.  The best chance of catching a steelhead is still along the shorelines of Lake Erie.  Consider shoreline fishing at Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park, Lake Erie Bluffs, Lakeshore Reservation or Arcola Creek.  Most success is reported with KO Wobblers or Little Cleos along the shoreline.  Fishermen off the short pier in Fairport have reported scattered catches with jig and maggots.  Some catches have also been reported at Grand River Landing using egg sacks or spinners.
