December thaw has rivers rising

Both the Chagrin and Grand Rivers are rising fast with melting snow, ice and rain.  Heavy rain is forecast throughout the weekend also.  This could be a good thing as the rivers needed some good flow to clear out the ice that was beginning to lock up the rivers.  Persistent anglers were having some luck where they could find open pools of water this past week.  Rising river water could push steelhead into the creeks and could also bring in more fresh fish from the lake.  Watch the river gauges as once the waters start to settle we could see some great steelhead fishing later next week.
