Rivers are currently high and muddy

The rivers are currently high and muddy which is normal for Spring in Lake County.  This could mean the end of the Spring Steelhead run.  However the lake-run smallmouth were in before the flood and should return as the rivers recede.  There have been some very large smallmouth caught so far this year out of the Grand and Chagrin rivers!  The freshly stocked ponds throughout several of the Lake Metroparks are also fishing well for Largemouth Bass and panfish.  Reports have also come in of Walleye and Perch off the shores of Lake Erie.
