Rivers are high and muddy...again :(

Current conditions on the Grand and Chagrin River are high and muddy.  Prior to the rain and increased flows we were receiving multiple reports of great smallmouth fishing, and also some steelhead.  With the harsh winter and cold spring that we've experienced, it's hard to say if the increased flow will bring in any fresh steelhead.

ODNR stocked 90,000 juvenile steelhead trout at Grand River Landing this week.  These fish are approximately 8 inches and are not of legal size to harvest.  If you catch one please handle with care and return to the river as quickly as possible.

Hidden Lake (catch and release only) and Veterans Park are still fishing well for the recently stocked Largemouth Bass.  Watch for notice of other fish stockings at multiple Lake Metroparks ponds in the near future.
