Summer time = Fishing time

Lake Metroparks offers some great places to take the family for some fishing fun!  Recently the Family Fishing Frenzy was held at Hidden Lake and over 100 participants enjoyed an evening of fishing, a hot dog cookout, Ohio Department of Natural Resources display, a Worm Hike and lots of family fun.  Thanks to Ohio Central Basin Steelheaders and our many volunteers for making this a special event.

The perfect way to end a hot summer day is to spend the evening near a pond catching some fish as the day begins to cool.  Most Lake Metroparks are now open until 11pm to extend your fishing time during the cooler evening hours.  Some suggested family pond fishing areas are Concord Woods, Girdled Road South, Veterans Park and Penitentiary Glen.  Get out soon and fish!
