Fishing looks promising this weekend.

The fishing this weekend looks very promising.  Good weather is predicted and the water flow is headed in the right direction.  Several anglers had good success steelheading this morning in the Chagrin River.  The water clarity should only improve throughout the weekend.  The Grand River is still flowing a little high, however the clarity is acceptable.  Reports of steelhead caught have come from as far up as Beatty Landing.  The steelhead should be moving throughout the weekend, and possibly entering some of the streams.  Water in the Big Creek at Liberty Hollow and Helen Hazen Wyman looked great this morning.  Fishing possiblities should only improve through the weekend and into early next week.

The rainbow trout bite at Veterans Park has been slow throughout the week.  However the bite has picked up considerably just lately.  It should be a great weekend to get out and fish.

The Fischer family visited Lake County last weekend and had a great day on the Grand River.

Andy Fischer holds one of his steelhead from a day on the Grand River.

Qylen shows another steelhead that the Fischer family caught.
