Happy Steelhead days...and then it rained

We sure saw some amazing days recently on the Chagrin and Grand Rivers!  Last Saturday the Chagrin River lit up and multiple anglers reported double digit catches.  Then Sunday was kinda quiet with just a few reports here and there.  Monday the Grand River lit up with steelhead practically jumping into anglers hands.  Again many reports came in of double digit days.  Through the week reports came in of happy anglers, loving the beautiful weather and catching some great fish.  In addition to steelhead, walleye are being reported in the lower rivers and a smallmouth?!  And then the rains came....all area creeks and rivers are high and muddy :(  There is the bonus of all this additional flow bringing some nice fish up into the creeks...watch for that possibility late Saturday or early Sunday.  With luck, and not too much rain, we should see fishing again in the Chagrin by early next week.

Don't forget about bass fishing at Hidden Lake!  And we are still seeing some trout being caught at Veteran's Park.
