Fishing is Good!!

Reports are coming in of some amazing steelhead fishing this week in the Grand River. The best results are being reported between Hidden Valley to Beaty Landing.  It could be this last stretch of cool weather along with some rain is holding those fish for us.  This is probably the end of the Spring Steelhead season but there are plenty of other fishing opportunities to be had.  We are currently seeing some good size smallmouth bass and walleye being caught from the Grand and Chagrin Rivers.  The stocked trout at Veterans' Park are still active and plentiful, along with the recent addition of Largemouth Bass making for a great time fishing there.  ODNR is currently in the process of stocking the Grand River at Grand River Landing with 90,000 yearling steelhead (smolts).  The Chagrin and Grand Rivers are running clear and fairly low, as are the local streams.  Current rain in the area could help, depending on how much we get.  Happy Fishing!

A recent great day along the Grand River!
