Rainbow Trout Fall Stocking Completed


Lake Metroparks stocked about 1,000 lbs of rainbow trout into Granger Pond at Veterans Park today.  The fish averaged close to 2 lbs each and appeared very healthy.  Efforts like this and other fish stocking programs are very well received by park visitors and have become very popular.  Lake Metroparks has been very fortunate to offset the costs associated with its stocking program by donations from both the Ohio Central Basin Steelheaders and from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History's Trout Club.  A valid Ohio fishing license is required to fish at Veterans Park and all Ohio Fishing Rules and Regulations apply.
