Excellent winter steelhead fishing

Reports have come in of excellent steelhead fishing along the Chagrin River.  One angler reported spending Christmas morning on the Chagrin and landing over 20 fish!  Colder weather also means less pressure on the fish as fewer anglers are out.  Public access to the Chagrin River is offered at Chagrin River Park and Pleasant Valley Park.  The Grand River is still flowing at a higher than desirable rate but could settle by the weekend.  Pictured below is Paine Creek at Indian Point.  A few happy anglers were spotted there this morning.
The Big Creek at Helen Hazen Wyman and Mill Creek at Hogback Ridge are also open and flowing.  Reports of success are also still coming in from Arcola Creek in Madison.  Happy fishing!
