Steelhead activity is picking up...

The steelhead activity is picking up on the Chagrin at Chagrin River Park and Pleasant Valley Park.  One angler reported landing several steelhead yesterday and sent in the picture below.

Conditions on the Chagrin should continue to improve through the week.  The Grand River is still muddy looking but should start to clear and settle by the weekend barring any additional rain/snowfall.  Even with the high and muddy conditions, reports have come in of success at Grand River Landing.

Paine Creek at Indian Point is mostly free of ice, however the water is crystal clear as seen in the picture below.  Steelhead were spotted on a visit yesterday, however they seemed spooked and not interested in any offerings.

Spring is just around the corner, time to get out and fish!
