Steelhead fishing slowly heating up

Several anglers spent last weekend on the water.  The rivers were high but the creeks were fishable.  Steelhead reports came in from Big Creek at Helen Hazen , Paine Creek at Indian Point and Mill Creek at Hogback Ridge.  No huge numbers but several very nice fish.  Look for the Grand River to fish by this weekend.

Happy Easter on Big Creek!

Lake Metroparks ponds are clear of ice and ready to fish.  This angler was trying his luck at the new River Road Park.

Hidden Lake in Leroy is now open for public fishing without a permit.  Several new fish habitat structures were placed in the pond on Tuesday.
