When is the best time to go fishing?

The best time to go fishing is whenever you can!  Summer is a great time to take the family fishing at one of the many ponds and lakes throughout Lake Metroparks.



 
Megan and Leah enjoyed catching their first fish at the "Fishing with the Grandkids" program recently offered at Veterans Park.


 

 
This happy young man pulled in a large catfish at Grand River Landing.
 
 
 
 
Please be sure to clean up all excess fishing line as it can endanger the local wildlife.  This baby robin was recently rescued at Hidden Lake.  Thankfully a thoughtful angler and a Lake Metroparks Ranger were able to successfully untangle and release him.
