Make time to go fishing...

Summer is quickly winding down....did you get enough fishing in?  As the evenings start to cool, now is a great time to visit one of your Lake Metroparks ponds to catch a memory.

The Fish Club met at Hidden Lake this past Wednesday.  Noah proudly displays the bass he caught.  This is a beautiful stocked lake with a gravel hiking trail around the lake.  It's a great place to bring the family for a day of fun.

Veterans Park in Mentor continues to be a favorite fishing hole.  Gabe displays one of several large catfish he caught on a recent outing.  He also reported catching several small Bluegill and a few Largemouth Bass.

This catfish was caught last weekend at Penitentiary Glen.  Cal reports he usually catches Largemouth Bass but on this outing the catfish were hungry.

On a recent family creek walk at Indian Point, Easton caught several crayfish that Cal quickly put to use as bait to pull in some Smallmouth Bass.  What a beautiful way to spend a summer afternoon!  Happy fishing!
