Fall is for Fishing

Fall is upon us and many of us are anxiously awaiting the first steelhead sighting.  I received two reports of steelhead caught in Lake Erie just off the mouth of the Grand River so the excitement is building.  This report will be updated if/when more activity is reported.

Meanwhile plenty of fish are being caught throughout Lake Metroparks.  As the weather cools, it's a great time to get out and enjoy some fishing.

Thank you to Scoutmaster Mike Colo and the North Coast Fly Fish Club members for assisting at a recent Boy Scout Fly Fishing Merit Badge program.  Several scouts were able to complete all their requirements and the rest are well on their way to their badge.  This program was a huge success due to these men coming out and volunteering to share their fly fishing expertise.  Thank you!
