Still waiting for the steelhead...

While there have been a few more reports of steelhead caught, so far there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity.  The steelhead so far are still staging in the Lake, hopefully feeding on the available shiners and preparing for their run upriver.  Your best option at this point (unless you have a boat) is to look for the steelhead off the short pier in Fairport at the mouth of the Grand River.  There have also been some reports off the shore at Arcola Creek

Meanwhile, there is still time to get out to some of the stocked ponds in Lake Metroparks.  Watch this report for updates on some planned Fall stocking at Hidden Lake and Veterans Park.
