More fish stocked at Lake Metroparks!

It's Spring and the fish are biting!  Lake Metroparks recently completed their Spring stocking at multiple ponds throughout Lake County.  Ponds receiving additions of Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish and Bluegill include:  Penitentiary Glen (2 ponds), Girdled Road (3 ponds), Concord Woods and River Road (2 ponds).  These added fish are fat and healthy and ready to bite!  Take the kids and head out for a fun day of fishing this weekend.

The Steelhead action has slowed but there are still some fish to be caught as they make their way back to the lake for the summer.  In addition, we are starting to see plenty of lake run Smallmouth Bass throughout the Grand River.  Recent rains sent the Grand River flow up and added some mud, however it's improving rapidly heading into the weekend.  If we don't receive any additional rain, the potential exists for a great weekend of fishing.
