June is for fishing!

School's out and it's time to go fishing!  There are plenty of great fishing opportunities throughout Lake Metroparks.  Currently Hidden Lake seems to be the hot spot, but Veteran's Park is also very productive and popular.  The Grand River is flowing high and muddy from plenty of recent rains, but watch for it to settle soon.  It's a great way to spend a day, floating the Grand River in a canoe or kayak (especially if you get to fish your way downriver).  Plenty of catfish are currently being caught at Grand River Landing.  We are also seeing walleye, catfish, white bass and sheepshead off the short pier in Fairport Harbor.  Happy Fishing!

Happy Fishing at Hidden Lake!

Having fun at Hidden Lake after the last day of school!
